In short: Elebon collects nothing about you. There is no account with the provider, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, no in-app purchase and no sharing with third parties. The provider runs no server for this app, so no data goes to them. Everything lives on your device. If you turn on iCloud, it is additionally stored in your personal iCloud with Apple, and if you invite helpers, they see the shared section.
Who is responsible
The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
EletinkerLukas Bucher
Rothenfelsstraße 4

kontakt@eletinker.com
What data the app processes
Elebon processes only what you enter yourself: sections with their name, products with name and price, and sales with time, amount, the items sold and the name of whoever sold them. In shared sections that name is the participant’s iCloud name, otherwise the name of your device. In addition there are the settings: language, appearance, the iCloud switch and the active section.
The app collects no usage data, no device or advertising identifiers, no crash reports and no location. It contains no third-party components for analytics or advertising. Because nothing is tracked across apps and websites, the app does not ask for App Tracking Transparency either.
When downloading from the App Store, your device transmits data to Apple, such as the identifier of your Apple account and the time of download. The app’s provider has no influence on this; Apple’s privacy policy applies.
Where this data lives
On the device
Out of the box, all data lives solely in the app’s database on your device. It does not leave it. It is part of your device backup, if you have one.
In your iCloud
If you turn on “Sync with iCloud”, the app additionally stores sections, products and
sales in your personal iCloud, in a private container that belongs to you alone (CloudKit,
container iCloud.com.eletinker.Elebon). The data is then the same on all devices
signed in with the same Apple ID. The app’s provider has no access to this container and
cannot see its contents. The data there is processed by Apple, as the provider of your iCloud
account and on the basis of your agreement with Apple. If you turn iCloud off again, the data
stays on the device; the copy in iCloud remains until you delete it.
With invited helpers
If you invite helpers into a section, the app uses iCloud sharing. The shared section with its products and all sales then lives in a shared area of your iCloud that the invited people can read and write. Every helper sees all products and all sales of the section, including the names of the other participants. As the owner you see the participants’ iCloud names; that is Apple’s sharing mechanism, not collection by the app’s provider. The invitation link travels by whatever route you choose, such as Messages or Mail. You decide who sees the section: “Manage sharing” removes individual people, “Stop sharing” invalidates the link and removes all helpers.
Settings
Language, appearance and the iCloud switch are stored in the app’s preferences on the device.
Permissions
Elebon asks neither for notifications nor for location, camera, microphone, contacts or calendar. For iCloud and sharing the app uses the Apple account your device is signed in with; without a signed-in account it works locally.
Legal bases
Processing on the device takes place solely within your sphere of control and is not processing of personal data by the provider.
Syncing via iCloud and sharing with helpers only happen if you turn them on and serve the function you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For storage in iCloud, Apple is responsible on the basis of your agreement with Apple. You decide whom you invite.
Recipients and transfers to third countries
- Apple Inc., One Apple Park Way, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA, when downloading from the App Store and, if turned on, for storage in iCloud and sharing with helpers. Apple is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; any transfer relies on the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR). Apple’s privacy policy.
- People you invite. They see the shared section with products, sales and participant names for as long as the share exists.
There are no other recipients. In particular, there is no server of the provider to which the app would send data.
Deletion and retention
Because the provider stores no data of yours, retention is up to you.
You delete a section’s sales via “Reset” in the statistics, products and sections in Settings. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is gone. Data in your iCloud remains until you delete it in the app or remove the app’s data in your device’s iCloud settings. For shared sections, “Stop sharing” removes the section from the helpers’ devices; your own data stays.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing.
With regard to the content you create in the app, access and erasure requests to the provider come to nothing: the provider does not have this data and cannot see it. You handle both yourself, in the app, in the iCloud settings or by deleting the app. For data in your iCloud, contact Apple.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
Changes
If the app’s functionality changes in a way that affects this policy, it will be updated. The version published at this address is authoritative; the date above states the revision.
